Troublesome Topic: FOREIGN CHAMPIONS

Some may try to argue that God simply helped His people fight off their enemies who were not God-fearing and would therefore not respect any rules about proper combat. However, there is a problem with that because there were some evil, non-Israelites warriors who became famous champions. They became famous for being victorious in such conflicts over and over again – you only lose once and then your fame is gone as well as your life. We can be sure that the one true God, the Creator, was not helping those ungodly warriors be successful. It makes much more sense to hold that all the nations who were not barbarians followed some basic rules about combat and these champions were very good at what they did.
