Troublesome Topic: GOD IS CALLING US TO SOMETHING BIGGER HIGHER AND DEEPER

True prayer is one of the most sublime aspects of following God, it causes us to grow closer to God in unique ways and spurs us to faith and obedience on a whole new level.

God is calling us to a type of prayer that is so much bigger than what we have known in the past,

So much higher than what we usually make prayer to be,

So much deeper and more profound than the surface-level things we have often asked God for,

So much more powerful in building the Kingdom of God within our view than seeking our own tiny personal desires can possibly be,

So much more satisfying than following cultural expectations,

So much more sublime than the impact of human effort.

Let’s resist the temptation to turn this opportunity into a “gimme, gimme” begging session.

Let’s focus on others and help them in any way we can.

Let’s choose to learn the heart of God through burdened, God-glorifying prayer for others, and

connect with God in His way and for His glory; then we might just see how close someone can actually get to the Creator of the universe!
