And if any woman has an unbelieving husband, and he happily agrees to [continue] making a home with her, she should not leave him

If a woman has a husband who is not a believer in Jesus, and if he wholeheartedly agrees to continue making a home with her, she should not seek to divorce him over the difference in their religious beliefs.

The same word is used here as in the previous verse but the rendering of it sounds a little different. It means “to send away,” but it could also refer to a woman “leaving” her husband. In that culture she could not kick her husband out, but she could leave him, and I understand that either one could request a divorce.
