For the one being spoken of belonged to a different tribe, from which no one ever served at the altar as a priest.



This is a compound word coming from “toward” and “to have or to hold.” The Greek language developed in such a way that “to hold toward” came to mean, “to attend to, to give full attention to, to keep, to bring near, to care for, to give heed to.”
