The merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her because no one buys their cargoes any longer,

Those that brought merchandise from afar weep and mourn their loss of her because her opulence and excesses had provided their excess as well,


1: "weep and mourn"

They are mourning for themselves because her destruction hurts their business. This passage implies that those that provide for the great place of wickedness and its people, are also guilty of its excesses. Some of the suppliers have also accumulated excess of various things by doing business with the place of wickedness.
