Translation

She is like the ships of those who travel around —

she brings her food from far away.

Paraphrase

She is not afraid to go to great lengths or endure great pains in order to get the best value when purchasing the supplies she needs for her household.

This Hebrew word means “to go back and forth, to travel about.” From their it came to mean “merchants”. The verb itself does not indicate why someone or something is “going back and forth” or “traveling around,” but when it was applied to people it was the merchants who did this the most.
