They offer three things to the one sitting on the throne; the number three means “all,” therefore, the number of things ascribed to God means they give to Him everything worth giving, everything one might possibly give to someone he wants to honor.

The phrase, “the ages of the ages” was their way of saying “forever and forever.” We worship a living God, in contrast to the lifeless idols of the nations.
